The Dopes' new album "Sem' Frontin' wit Da Hellyeahs" hits the streets October 2001. Produced by Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Ramones, White Zombie) "SFWDH's" features 14 original songs. From the raw punk of 'Blackout' to the tripnotic wall of guitars on 'Transmutation' to the powerful first single 'I Wanna' this record doesn't quit. "SFWDH's" is the follow up to The Dopes very successful debut album "Dawn of The Dopes" (1994) produced by Kramer.
The boys have just wrapped up some east coast dates on The Vans Warped Tour and taped segments for BBC World and a documentary on the legendary rock and roll club Squeezebox. They have also contributed songs to two independent films, were included in two books and recorded a live radio show for WUSB-Stony Brook University.
The Dopes have managed to scrounge up a diverse following and have packed houses at some of New York's hottest clubs including CBGB's, Squeezebox, SPA, Continental and Manitoba's. They have secured a permanent place in Rock 'n Roll history being featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum.
